One trick pony
And she was my act
The truth I could pull out
When in doubt
But she moved on
Like a visiting Swan
From some far away land
I guess she wasn’t amused
And she was on to me
She said, she will make it quick
She can no longer be my one trick
Now, I am left with nothing to show
And the crowd screams at me
Why pay for something not worth free?
Maybe I will jump now
On one leg
Or maybe I will beg
Steal, cheat and kick
Unbalanced, less my one trick.

Completely addictive!
Oh and yeah, your poems, a complete break through!!!
Would love to see more...
Keep writing!!!
Btw, see mine too! :)
One stop pony according to my interpretation is one of man’s worst fears brought forth. You sometimes wonder when the best act you have is snatched away from you what would you do and you try to protect it. You are defensive and possessive about it. It has the potential to hurt you. Innocent though the poem looks it has a lot to say. Great work. J D Salinger has company :)

I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg of what's to come next. Musn't you promote your upcoming book on this blog? There's no doubt it'll do well. Also, it's great that it's for a good cause. Good luck!
