Sixty Three Years

Sixty Three Years

Sixty three years came and went
And so did everything we earned
Into the pockets of those around you
And we were asked to be patient
Sixty three is not patient enough
Or does she decide what’s true
For honest men like you

Something’s burning around
While you sit in your palace
A country boils with rage
But you are the honest sage

Just three questions

Forget the shade he wore
Or the law they wanted
Or those who surrounded them
And how they earned what they earned

Just three questions

Are you on a long extended holiday?
Paid by us
What are you scared of?
Or rather
Is there anything that does not scare you?
And last,
When can India get its money back?
